I got an IDE one by mistake, and could do with getting a SATA one to turn IDE off completly in the BIOS.
You don't need to spend loads though. A good drive here will set you back around £20, which isn't much considering it'll burn to CD/DVD (all types inc RAM), etc, and at 18x speed.
