jimbos would work well.

I'll keep his in mind, but how many more fans should I horder. And where do I get thermal paste?
What else do I need to get?

1 more question for now.
How long should it take to put all this together? I don't plan on having everything until oct.- dec.

well. 1. i dont have any idea about thermal paste or fans 2. you should all buy the product at the same time so you can put it together, test it hard doing more than you ever will make sure everything is good so that is somthing isnt you can return it in the firs month. I also had a question a hwile back and here is the link about wat time you should purchase it

alright here is everything you said to get besides the optical and floppy drives because already have those. Mobo, CPU, Graphics Card, Hard drive, Ram, case, psu, case fans and thermal paste.
Here are the links to all of the above mentioned.

Abit mobo

AMD CPU

MSI 6600GT Graphics card

Samsung SATA 150 Hard drive

Corsair 1GB Ram

Aspire Case

PSU 480W

2 Case fans
and finally

thermal paste

I like exile's except maybe this AMD cpu:

and a sound card:

actually the 3000+ has been shown to O/C better than the 3200+ so i would go with the 3000+. with stock cooling and a slight voltage increase u can reach 2.4ghz no problem. and thats with a winchester core

Would that sound card work?

I think I have a backup of windows xp so would that mean I could just load it on to my computer after I'm done building it?

Yeah, it's PCI and every motherboard has a PCI Slot so it'll work just fine although I find nothing wrong with my onboard audio with the exception that it is harder to configure!
