I have that board: ASROCK P4S61 and everytime I try to install the onboard sound drivers, I get that BSOD saying that portcls.sys has made errors and blah blah blah (ya all know the rest)

What's wrong?

BTW: OS is Windows XP MCE 2k5

Its some sort of compatability problem, maybe with some other driver that might also be using that file.

I would honestly suggest (especially if music is important to you) to get even a cheap PCI sound card. Even a rather cheapest one (Creative) will give superior sound to onboard.

It'll also take alot of load off your CPU
