BF2 help

I just installed BF2 after not playing for a year. I went on the EA website and there are loads of patches and incremental updates etc for it. What ones do I actually need? I don't want to download like for example a v 1.1 (of something) and then download the v1.2 that includes 1.1 anyway. If you get what I mean. Just anyone who can tell me what I need to download would be appreciated. Cheers guys.

You should just d/load the full 1.4 patch. It is buggy though, I can't get BF2 to run with it no matter what I try, I have reverted to the 1.3 patch.

the newest patch is 1.4 download that.

that will upgrade the entire 1.4 patch from any version before so.

It's a US site, doesn't let me download for some reason. I got it downloading from gamershell though, cheers mate
