Now as we all know even if the ghz "looks better it isn't truly" Because of brand types i was wondering which is faster.

AMD Turionâ„¢ II 2.3Ghz
Intel® Core™2 Duo Mobile 1.83Ghz
AMD E-Series 1.7GHz

So is it a safe bet that its probably faster then the other 2?

Hertz alone is no longer a good indicator when comparing different series of modern processing units.

In very general terms, the Turion II you found here should out perform both the E-series and the Core 2 Duo Mobile (the latter two are comparable).

I would go with the intel, simply because I do not like AMD's...
