Best setup for PC to Computer connection used in a conference room at work?

Hi all,
We are currently looking at investing in a way to connect any laptop to our flatscreen TV in our conference room. The TV is a new 65'' so it comes with hdmi vga etc. We want to be able to show the laptop on the TV. It will be used for skype calling and presentations and what not. Current ideas ive considered were,

option 1) going wired using a VGA cable connecting directly to tv from pc and purchasing wireless keyboard&mouse to use at table

option 2) purchasing wireless USB to VGA with audio, vga end would go into tv and usb would go into pc (would need a wireless webcam too then)

Thats what i have thought of so far, would anyone have any ideas or input?

i think its the best choice for us, but that would lead us to option 1 i have

I'm open to any kind of ideas or opinions along these lines, Thank you

I believe what we really want is to just come in and sit down at the conference table, open up the computer, and have it come up on the TV
 
Will it be permenantly connected to the TV or not?

Whether you go wireless or not is very much a personal decision - only you can really decide whether being free of cables can justify the extra cost / setup involved.
