With a new game coming out (APB) the computer I currently have is a little ... lackluster.

So im going to build a new one. I been runnin around newegg tryin to figure out what I want or could use/afford. I think i have it all set up but have a few questions and would like some feed back if at all possible.

First id like to ask when it comes to PCIe video cards I see that its possible to now link 3 if I get that correctly. Should I do that?

The memory of what I decided on im not to confident with ... I believe the mother board I can have up to 6 sticks of memory .. since im only going with 3 at 2gigs a piece im not sure what i should do honestly.

Also if possible to check out what I picked if they will run well together and there a good price for what it is. and if there is any recommendations on what to switch out with whatever else that would be awesome :)

the specs of what I would get are as follows:

ASUS P6X58D-E LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor Model HDZ965FBGMBOX

CORSAIR DOMINATOR 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TR3X6G1600C8D

MSI N470GTX-M2D12-B GeForce GTX 470 (Fermi) 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card x2

Seagate Barracuda LP ST32000542AS 2TB 5900 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive -Bare Drive

Sony Optiarc 24X DVD/CD Rewritable Drive Black SATA Model AD-7240S-0B - OEM

Acer P235Hbmid Black 23" 5ms HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor

RAIDMAX SMILODON Extreme Black ATX-612WEB 1.0mm SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Foldout MB Computer Case

Thermaltake TR2 TRX-750M 750W ATX 12V v2.3 / EPS 12V v2.91 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Saitek Eclipse III Black USB Wired Standard Backlit Multimedia Keyboard

RAZER DeathAdder Black 5 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired Precision Optical Gaming Mouse - 3.5G Infrared Sensor

2,118.84$

so what do you guys think? should I get a 3rd card or is it pointless? should I add stuff/subtract stuff .. get an extra monitor? or switch stuff out. I appreciate your guys time and thanks in advance :)

I recommend you just buy a single powerful card. That will leave room to Xfire/SLI in the future. Since you're already spending a lot, I recommend you buy the ATi HD5970 or the nVidia GTX480. The RAM and motherboard you picked are great! Unfortunately, you also picked an AMD processor to run with an Intel motherboard. Swap that Phenom II for an Intel i7 920 LGA1366. Everything else you picked looks great to me.

Awesome build. This thing should run this game quite nicely. Ive played the demo of it and its really fun.

This PC will last you quite a while, but the specs are over shooting the game quite a bit, not that its a bad thing cause iot leaves room for more later on.

Anyway if your a cop imma cap you so watch out!

The ASUS P6X58D-E is an Intel i7 mobo.

It won't work with a AMD Phenom II X4 965 CPU.

You either need to choose an Intel CPU or change the motherboard to accept an AMD CPU. Everything else looks ok.

Ok i really appreciate this guys :)

so i swapped out the

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor Model HDZ965FBGMBOX

for a

Intel Core i7-920 Bloomfield 2.66GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor Model BX80601920

and switched the video card to 1 higher powered

SPARKLE SXX4801536D5-NM GeForce GTX 480 (Fermi) 1536MB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

and still breaks just under my price limit at 1933

Thanks again guys its time to destroy some people :p

You should be able to stretch to the i7-930. The last time I looked on Newegg it's a $10 price difference.
