ancient computer pet project

hey everyone, i was wondering if yall could help me a bit, i have a lil pet project that ive been working on for awhile and i thought i finally had it, but the damn thing wont turn on, boot up, anything, the power source is good, old, but it works. so any ideas?
specs are as follows

computer
aptiva ibm 2153 e2u (i dont remember what motherboard or processer it has if needed i can figure it out, it would just take a bit and a half)
power source
ac/bel api-8541


note: this computer is very old (hence the title) and came with win 95 or 98 as the o/s so if you are stumped that is fine im just trying different sources for help

I don't think that's the issue here, he's not saying what he's using just what the computer came with! Besides, if it won't even turn on it's clearly not the fault of the OS.

If the power supply, switch and wiring are all good then I'm afraid you're most likely looking at a fried motherboard - which as you probably know isn't viable to replace on a machine that age unless you get very lucky off ebay or the like
