I'm looking at both of these although I am unsure of which one to get.

Acer AL2223Wd Black-Silver 22" 5ms DVI Widescreen LCD Monitor - Retail
# Contrast Ratio: 800:1
# Display Colors: 16.2 Million

Acer AL2216Wbd Black 22" 5ms DVI Widescreen LCD Monitor with HDCP support - Retail
# Contrast Ratio: 700:1
# Display Colors: 16.7 Million

Which one is better, the only difference between the two is the contrast ratio and display colors. One has better contrast ratio but low display colors while the other has a lower contrast ratio but more displayer colors. So which one is the better buy?

Thanks.

I'm looking for a 20-22'' LCD Moniter, if you know of any which are better than these two and they are under 260$ shipped and off newegg please inform me of such.

I would go with the first one, cuz you will notice a bigger difference with the contrast ratio, than with .5 million colors.

Your best bet would be the Acer AL2223Wd. It's 800:1 contrast ratio will provide a brighter, more vibrant picture. Don't worry about the display colors. I highly doubt that anyone can really tell the difference between 16.7 and 16.2 million. :D

First one is better i'd say, but the second one is also a great monitor, i'm using one right now actually. upgraded from a 17" LCD to this and i've never been happier with a purchase.
oh yeah, and check these out

here's a 20" for 200 dollars from newegg after mail in rebates.

Viewsonic IMO is one of the best monitors in the industry. My house has two 17" flatpanels. They are very reliable and very good quality.

I would say "YES" on getting it. Good reviews, very good contrast ratio (comparable to HDTVs), and OK colors. Like we said, you won't notice a difference between 16.2 and 16.7 million colors.
