I haven't heard much about it lately, last I knew it was top of the line now all I hear about is the 7900.. How does the 7800gtx pair up against all the new cards, the 7900 for example, or the gt and gtx models?

lower power consumption, what does the 7900 GTX core offer over the 7800 GTX core in terms of real world performance, clock for clock? We clocked down the 7900 GTX 512MB to the same clock speeds as the 7800 GTX 512MB and compared these 2...

As you can see theres NOT much of a difference. Frankly if you can afford it and it don't really affect you the 7900 is the way to go, if you can't teh 7800 or even the 6800! Anything 6600 today will run every single game, could prob push it with a 6200 ora 5700.

What about the 7600 to the 6600gt?
I'm thinking if anything, I'm not going below a 7800gtx, upgrading to a 7600 wouldnt be much, and that would be as old as my 6600gt is when I recieved it. I'm going balls in once I save up some money, then I'll probably wait for one set of cards to come out, to lower the price on w/e it is I'm looking at
