Im building a pc for my brother. I prefer intel but if there are better amd deals I can change my mind. Basically I need the whole pc with monitor, mice, and keyboard and I have less then 600 to spend. It has to come down to less than 600 with shipping.

does he need a decent graphics card or something he can just connect a monitor to ? like onboard ...

and thats $580 which leaves u $20 to get a keyboard and mouse.

if you was looking to be gaming on this pc then id say u need an extra $100 to up the RAM to 776 or even 800 and to get a 7600GT

it looks decent for doing average things but if ur going to game, ur going to have to get adecent video card \

Why get that ram? I know I can get 2x 1GB sticks of DDR 667 for 30$ a stick. This is Canadian, so I assume its even cheaper in the US.

your right DJ CHRIS the only reason i chose that RAM was because of the motherboard price....

if you want DDR667 then you have to upgrade the motherboard which makes the $$$ go up.

i mean if he doesnt mind the price increase then yeah go for faster RAM.

thats what i said in my post i said if he has the extra cash then get faster RAM and a decent GPU
