256 color help?

hi i just reformated my computer and for some odd reason i cant get my 256 color back. If anyone has idea how to fix this please let me know, thanks.

you will need the drivers for your video card.

Yeah - but most people don't want the 256 COlours back; they want to get rid of them? 256 is the setting a Video Card will bring up if it isn't installed properly anyway.

What video card do you have ? 256 is 10 years old,now we have 16 million.

Is this the first time you did this ? After you install Windows it's probably 16 colors.Your Video card enhanced driver installation should give you at least 256.
Need more info.

Yeah; some will set it to 16 Colours others will start at 256 but eitherway the Drivers will kick it up to 16, 24 and probably 32 Million Colours.
