im sure that there is some way to have 2 monitors coming from the same pc
how do you do it?
how do you have the same image on both screens?
and how do you keep them different?
how do you play a game on one screen and have different programs running on the other screen?
is this even possible?
or am i just dreaming again

It's possible. I have a 3 monitor setup. I just extend the desktop on to another monitor. Granted, you must have a video card with 2 video out ports (2 VGA, 2DVI, or a DVI and VGA), or 2 video cards on your system. If you don't have 2 out ports or 2 video cards, get one with 2 or another video card.

To extend the desktop: right click desktop>Properties>Settings tab>click on the monitor you want to extend to>select the "Extend my Windows desktop..." box>OK Please note: this can only be done once you have 2 video cards (or 2 ports on one) and 2 monitors connected to it.

nah its very possible mate infact i have that exact setup.

my main screen on my 22" LCD and my extended desktop on my 32"LCD

u need a graphics card that supports 2 monitors and once u have one there are loads of settings in there for.

mirror mode - duplicate images on both screens.
span mode - both screens act like 1
extended desktop - 2 different desktops u can have 2 windows maximised

okay im not very sure if my current vid card has 2 ports or not
lets just say that it has one (for now)
all of my computers to date have had intel processors (and im assuming motherboards)
i have 3 older pcs, and my 'top of the line' desktop has a modem inside
which i dont need i have a wireless network set up more on that later
could i just rip out the modem and slide in an older vid card from my 2nd oldest pc?
and run 2 montiors that way?
or do i need to open em up and get some numbers and pics for a legit answer?

Only if the video card and the modem use the same slot.

You could try it, and if it fits, then you're set.
