Problem w/ blackberry phone....NOt turning on

My blackberrry phone all of a sudden will not turn on when i press the button and if i do get it on ( by taking battery out and putting it back in ) it will shut off after a few minutes. I think it might be the battery. Any comments

Try a new battery or return it.
