power cable problems

in the last 2 weeks I have had 3 fuses go in the main power cable of my computer tried a new cable but still it blows after a few days everything is plugged in to power surge protector the only thing attached by usb to the computer is external hard drive which has its own power cable any suggestions what can cause this please

Fuses? I didn't know there were fuses in the cable. You mean the power supply blows? Maybe you're power supply is under-powered with the hardware you have in your PC.
