I'm on a domain with Server 2003. One user account on a desk we are downloading a file, if go to the back office log in, with the same credentials will it be able to access this file from the other computer?

I'm not seeing this happening?

No.

Unless the server is configured to use 'roaming profiles', this doesn't happen. The User Account only allows authentication (logging in) and authorization (opening network files based on permissions).

You would have to download the file and copy it to the other PC.

However, if you know the hostname of the computer, you may be able to go to the second PC and put "\\hostname\c$\" to see the local file system of the PC it is downloading on.
You can find this info by typing "hostname" into a command prompt.

For example, the hostname of the first PC is "GFFJD94343".

Go to the second PC and open "My computer". In the address bar, type:
\\GFFJD94343\c$

That may grant you permissions, it may not. Depends on the configuration of your domain.
