Hi, I use microsoft security essential for my desktop and I think my computer works fine. i don't use anything else for security. I just got a new laptop, it comes tomorrow. I was wondering is this enough for maximum protection or should I get more software? I really would like to take the best care of my new laptop. Help please?

If i was you i would get another A/V and disable that thing. I would go with something like SEP or maybe viper. Symantec has really done a good job with what they have done with SEP. Its still a system hog but not as bad as sav or norton are. I would really give it a look.

Symantec Endpoint Protection. Can be installed managed and unmanged

You should not have to purchase anything else, just run Security Essentials. It is great, if you are not happy with it you can install Avast! I have been using it for years and have never had a problem.
