Chrome on Android & XP?

Hi all, I recently bought an old Sony Vaio laptop, and installed Google Chrome. I also installed it on my android phone (Samsung Galaxy S2), mainly because of the sharing tabs/bookmarks feature.

The laptop runs very slowly, not overly sure it's anything to do with Chrome itself, as it might be down to the age of the laptop. But Chrome itself keeps freezing.

My phone has been very slow since I installed it, even when doing non-chrome tasks, such as typing text messages. Sometimes I'll try to open a page in Chrome and it'll just go to a blank (white) page.

Are these common issues with Chrome, are my 'devices' too old for it? Is there anything I can do?

I rarely ever have problems like this with Chrome. What are the specs of your laptop and are you using any extensions or toolbars?
