For the most part, yes. It would be best to call ahead though.

Big chain stores/restraunts usually are but anything else would be best to call like Atomic said. The store I work for is closed First friday off in like three months

I know Wal-Mart will be open. The only day Wally World is closed is Christmas. At least that is corporation wide, I don't know about every individual store.
