I want to build a go cart, I'm pretty good mechanicly plus, I have access to lots of tools, but I don't know where to start when it comes to go carts, so...I need help with:
-A list of parts I would need to get.
-A website or store I could buy the parts from.
-A price range(about how much it would cost total)
-And plans, or instructions on how to safely build it.
I would need to do it from scratch since I have no frame motor or anything, but I just want a fun go cart not a racing one so carbon fiber blah blah frames aren't necessary(if they even make such a thing), but I still want it to go fast :D

Thanks in advance! :)

it could cost anywhere from $400 to upwards of $1000 depending on what you get. I was looking at that when I was 10, but after I saw the price, me and my friend decided that we would rig something together somehow with an old lawn mower, an old bike, and some plywood.

parts- lets see:
engine
frame
kill switch
steering wheel
steering assembly(shaft, link rod, tire connecting stuff)
seat
harness
wheels
tires (sold separately from the wheels aka rims)
clutch
brakes
gas+ brake pedals
cables for the pedals
sproket(s)
axle
axle bearings

umm, you might want to consider getting a roll cage if you are really worried about saftey; they don't sell them, you would have to take it to a metal shop to have on made, and attached to the frame.
