I'm trying to open up a port for torrents. I've forwarded it properly according to the steps found in www.portforward.com and I've also made a virtual server using the same port (whatever that means). I've set up my static ip address and made sure that both the port and utorrent is an Exception in my windows firewall. I have no other firewalls installed on my computer.
Yet, when I check whether or not my port is open using http://www.utorrent.com/testport.php?port=MYPORT (where MYPORT is the port I'm trying to forward), it still says my port is blocked!
The only way to open up my port is to set my computer on DMZ, but I don't want to expose my computer like that.
What else can I do to open up this damn port without setting my computer on DMZ?
