Hey guys so i use comcast as my internet provider... i currently have a network cable running from my comcast modem to my xbox for gaming.. well my computer is coming in a few days and i need to buy another network cable to run to my computer, so i can have both plugged in..

I know there are 8 wires in the cable running to my xbox and i know i need to get another 8 wire network cable to go to my computer...

My question.. is all networking cable 8 wire...?

i am looking at Newegg.com for my wires and have found this...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16812117602
what does 5E 350mhz means? is this what i am looking for?

Thanks in advance

This cable will be fine. The type 5E is the standard, and it transfers at 350MHz. You must have a Comcast Modem/Router all in one? If not, you will need to purchase a 3rd party router (4 port). This will allow you to have your computer and the XBox online at the same time. This info may be a little out of date, but here's a link that gives the basics about the different standards of different types of networking cable.
