Access is denied

I am trying to view another computer on my network using Explorer. However, when I try to view the computer it come up with the following error message.

\\rob is not accessible. you might not have permission to use this network resource.

The other computer can view my computer using Explorer.

How do I change the permissions.

run ad-ware and spyboy, on a full system scan, u may have some form or ad/spyware on ur computer, stopping a required port from being ussed, also u havent got any firwalls limiting access from ur computer have u, because this could also be a problem!

We are running Norton Firewall but it has been set up to recognise all the other computers on the network.

alright try this: go to the start menu and click 'run' and type regedit.

once in regedit open the directory: hkey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\control\lsa

once ur in that folder, go down the list on the right until you find 'restrictanonymous'. double click it and look at the value data. it should be a 0. so if it says 'Value Data: 1', change the 1 to a 0.
