i personaly would go with the geforce how much do they cost? Check out reviews about both of them read about 3 reviews each the buy the one that comes up on top.

Your thread title is misleading. You say laptop graphics cards then go on to ask about vid cards that go in a desktop system. Laptop graphic systems are built onto the motherboard and as such can't be changed. What you see is what you get.
Having said that, and taking in to consideration it was a typo, I still say go with the Nvidia card. Just make sure your power supply has enough ass to power it...
