Hello everyone,
First, thank you for reading this post and giving me input on what is possible/what I should do. I have a very old G Tech hard drive that uses FW800 and has 256 GB. It had been great for the purposes that I have been using it but recently I exceeded the storage limit. I really like the enclosure quite a bit and want to know if it is recommended that I install a new and bigger driver. What I want to do is install a couple of TBs of SSD and put in a new IO/mini pci board so that it can out put to either USB 3 and above or thunderbolt 2. I have attach the photo of the driver's guts. Let me know if this is a lost cause or the start of something better. Here is the photo
Cheers.
