Conversion of Windows Game to Linux.

I am running Ubuntu 10.10 and wish to add a game (direct download), that is native to Windows Vista_32. I know that WINE is sort of like bootcamp in Mac. Some programs will work on it (just not any I have tried). Does anyone know if Combat Arms has a linux edition (no results on Google, but i only hold that at face value).
Or else, is there a way that you can explain to a linux idiot how to WINE it into operation?
Thanks in advance.

Here is the WINE page for Combat Arms. It doesn't look very promising at the moment, but keep an eye on it (or try to contribute some tricks yourself). You could also try asking the developer directly if they will port to Linux... you never know.

Also, there is a thread in Ubuntu Forums you might check out.

Thats a good idea. Thanks. I'm at school right now, but i think i can ask via blackberry to see if they are able to port to linux.
Heck, If it is just simple conversions, I may be able to do that, or at least find someone who will.

Ill check out the Wine page later (its blocked on the school server).
