Will disabling DHCP make any security issue?

Hi I'm new here and would like some help. I was wondering if disabling my DHCP for my router would cause any security issue with my internet. I need to have ti disabled in order to do womething, so I would like to know if there will be any possible reprecussions. Thanks so much for the help!

No, there's absolutely no security issue with disabling DHCP. You understand that you must set your computer up to have a Static IP address, a Subnet Mask, and a Default Gateway, along with a primary and secondary DNS server in order to get to the Internet, right? You say you want to do something- I'm not sure whatever you need to do would require disabling DHCP. If you need to know how to setup a Static IP address, post back.
