Default No internet capacity!

Hi my high speed internet doesnt seem to be working. Im pretty sure its one of two things. I think its ether a virus that my anti-virus cant find (im using AVG that i got from download.com) or a hacker got in, created a backdoor, and is using all of my bandwidth. I can usually go to my home page but if i try anything else it doesnt work. I cant even run an online virus scan. I have really no idea what to do and ill take any advice.

try using differnt browsers, if anything it's either spyware or a virus that is messing w/it. you can also try un-installing the browser/ then re-installing.
