DVD Backup

I'm obviously new, however, it seems as if i cannot search for a word with under 4 letters.....

I have a DL DVD burner en route via newegg and am hoping to backup my DVD collection, as I do my CD collection. Put the originals away and use the copies.

I know there's plenty of copyright protection and posiably size issues, however since what I am doing is completely legal you guys should be able to help me out, right?

Of course we will help you...

One program that rips the dvd, sizes it down to fit on a dvd-r, and burns the image to disk is DVD Shrink. There are many different programs that accomplish this, so I would recommend searching around a bit.
