I am attempting to create an account w/ administrative rights on windows xp home. How could I get the password for the admin account that already exists when I have limited control? I can access the regestry and search for files as well as use the cmd prompt. Please help me get full access to this computer.

I'm not entirely sure you can, could you not reinstall Windows? I don't think there is a way to find the Admin Password on XP.

You can't really unless you have one of those password disk etc.

Yeah - a password disk would be best. If you don't have that then you'll have to unistall it and reinstall it.

under your limited user account name download cain abel from http://www.oxid.it/ and run it to get the administators password. it also works for internet connection passwords and various password required accounts. be sure to read the "readme" file after you install it. let me know if this helps.
