this processor is identical to an E6600, 2.4ghz/4mb cache/1066FSB. This processor has less than 100 hours of use on it and it's heatsink is still in the retail box having never been touched. I will ship this out in the retail box. I've got the newegg invoice from 4/6/2007, i paid 327.99 for this thing back then. I'm willing to part with this processor for $180 + 10 bucks shipping in the continental U.S. please email me at anquocdinh@gmail.com or contact me through AIM at angotdamagicstik. thanks for looking guys.

EDIT: THIS PROCESSOR WILL WORK ON ANY C2D CAPABLE BOARD.

Uhh if it's identical to a used E6600, the price shouldn't be identical to a new E6600.

do some research before you threadcrap. this is NOT an E6600, it's specs are identical, however, it is binned for lower voltages.

thats a real nice proc.. y would u wanna get rid of it?
i don't need it any more i'm about to get a Q6600 G0/SLACR, and hopefully a Q9450 in the spring.

It's a server processor...more stable/reliable than a regular E6600.
yep

its the exact same processor, different branding

and here it is for 230

and the e6600 is exactly the same

they're not exactly the same, the xeon is server level, binned for lower voltages. lower voltages = lower temps = higher overclock.

Would the stablility make a difference in Overclocking and all?
yes, this processor has a higher Tcase max and lower voltages than a normal C2D E6600. like i said i have less than 100 hours on it and never got a chance to clock it to its potential, i'll let the next buyer have their fun with it. this processor is not for the cheap minded person who wants to get a deal on some regular C2D. if this is you, then go to newegg and buy you an E6600, just keep that stuff out of my thread.
