Default Re: bootup difficulty w/ new storage drive

I'm confused. Are you replacing the system storage with a new because the old one is acting up while at the same time you connect the old one but the drive name is acting up?

If so, make sure the order of data SATA connections is correct or follows the recommendations and the bios has them in the correct order. This typically eliminates drive letter mixing.

If you just wanna copy the old data to the new drive, you can temporarily use the SATA cables of the optical drive for this, no problem.
