Windows 7 renamed my new 2TB HDD by it's self?

I'm not sure which drive is on what port I never labled each drive.

I assume I can dissconnect a drive then identify.

if you look closely at disk management SS 1st image Z has diangla lines the other drives don't.

I was able to check disk options now able to check scan for an tempt recover bad sectors for 2.5 hours about 25% to go.

Probably because the drive is trying to be Z and H at the same time. That's your conflict there.

Try the Minitool Partition Wizard and let it look at the drives. I'd like to see the report on them.

I've forgotten how to do that in disk management can you provide step by step instructions thanks

also I'll read up on Minitool Partition Wizard however until now never needed 3rd party SW

edit: I forsee another issue at one time there was a F drive so I need to know how to properly name drives

Minitool Partition Wizard makes it all easy for you. Rename all your drives as you wish except for the system drive that must remain C:. Also the drive you installed your programs must remain with its letter.

With the rest go for it.
