Need help with I7 5748 dell laptop battery

On the lower right of my screen it says "battery not detected" it will then show plugged in, not charging. I tried many methods, unplugging the laptop holding the power button, re-installing my OS, taking it apart and looking at the power circuit board... which seems to look clean/ not damaged.

I did spill milk on my laptop awhile ago and took it apart and cleaned it out.

Do you think I need a new battery connector circuit board? Or what seems to be the problem? Im stumped! Please help.

And does the laptop run on the battery or does it need to be plugged in?

It needs to be plugged in
It goes from battery not detected to plugged in not charging...and back and fourth.

Seems to me like the battery bit the dust. I'm no laptop expert, but if you have a multimeter or voltmeter maybe you could test it.

Most likely you just need to buy a new battery. There are cheap after market ones on ebay.

Depending on where you go, you might be able to bring the laptop in and try one out just to make sure it isn't a problem on the laptop side. at least then you wouldn't have to go all the way back to the shop to return it, in the event that it's a problem with the laptop wiring.
