Gaming build help

I'll adjust my wording there, it does support Dual GPUs... it's just really pointless and not recommended :p

Yeah I don't think it's a very good idea.

Op here
Im thinking im going to stay intel sence i know them better and i love nvidia cards but i have no clue on mother board and need help there and for one that fits the case i just got thanks

You should provide the following so we can help you better:

  1. Budget
  2. Preferred manufacturers
  3. Location and preferred stores or websites
  4. A list of what you already own, if you own something
  5. Extra information you decide it could be helpful

It's best if you keep it organized and clean so we can read it with more ease.

Any overclocking intended, are you looking for budget builds, and are you looking for new parts only?

Thoughts?

This is not the best for video editing. If you are editing, I definitely recommend you go Ryzen. Intel is too expensive for editing PCs right now. If you are serious about editing, you should change that I5 for an I7, like a 7700. 7700K if you want to overclock, and remember to get a Z270 board if you do.

There is a $1200 editing rig at the bottom.

Or gaming rigs.

Pick a build, any build!

It mostly depends on the drives you want to use, if you want to use Crossfire or SLI, if you want to overclock and how much, and if you would like to choose a brand over another. Other than that, there is not much to decide. As long as everything fits, you are going to be all right. If you already know the components you want, we can help you choose it.

Your case is an ATX mid tower, so most ATX boards will fit, and pretty much anything else. Unless you want a really long graphics card or a rare EATX board, you'll be fine.

I recommend you research the chipset models and find out what's best for you. Usually, if you won't overclock, considering you go Skylake, you get a H110, if you want to overclock, a Z270. If the overclock is not huge, then a mid-range board+cooler will do. Otherwise you may want to spend a little more on those two things.

About the graphics card, the 1060 6Gb is still a very good option. You can also get the RX 580. They are pretty similar, except the 580 has Crossfire and more VRAM. You should decide this yourself. There seem to be some comparisons out there. Should make it easier.
