create an app

hi there, not sure if this is the right place but i would like to try to create an app for an idea that i have had. is it very hard to do? im not stupid but have never done anything like this before.

That all depends on what the idea is

If it's a game of noughts and crosses for android then it's more than do-able for a beginner. If it's a distributed, mesh networked weather forecaster using real time data from mobile devices that might be running one of three platforms then it's going to be a bit trickier!

thanks for the answwer, can you direct me to something that might help me please.what i wantthe app to do is print something on a regular basis, would you know if this is going to be easy or difficult?
