Hi! These are my thoughts on BSOD. There are many things that cause BSOD's.
Windows updates.( Make sure you have the latest Windows updates)
Update your drivers( Especially your graphics driver)
Hardware failures(Ram is a major cause for BSOD)
Overheating(Over heating is also a major cause of BSOD)
Throttling (????)
Disk errors(chkdsk)
Virus or malware
A buggy AV or security programs
Memory corruption(Memtest86+
Power failures
Make sure you have all the windows updates. Check with your manufacture to see if you have the latest graphics driver for your PC. Check for over heating with a program like Speccy or Speedfan. I don't know about Throttling. Check for disk errors. You can find free programs that will check your HDD. All HDD manufactures have free testing programs. You can also run a chkdsk to see if you have bad sectors. Check your memory with Memtest86+. You can also type memory diagnostics in your search Orb to test your memory. Memtest86+ is a better test. Test you power supply and make sure it has the proper voltage out puts. You can Google how to test your power supply. Make sure your PC is not infected with malware. I'm sure I have left some important things out. Please feel free to add your suggestions
I like a program called Who Crashed to help with BSOD.
I'll try to post some links that will help you with BSOD. If you have links, please add yours. I would also recommend running a sfc /scannow for any file corruption!

Here's another great tool to help with BSOD. For reasons unknown to me, tech's don't mention this tool. IMHO it's a great help with BSOD's and other performance problems you may be having!! If you never give it a look, you are messing another great windows tool! I have to post all these things while I can still remember them. LOL

Reliability Monitor tracks the history of your computer — any time an application crashes, hangs, or Windows gives you a blue screen of death. It also tracks other important events, like when software is installed, or Windows Updates loads a new patch.
Reliability Monitor is the Best Windows Troubleshooting Tool You Aren't Using

Hi! It has been brought to my attention that the Reliability Monitor may be a resource hog. I can not find any data to support that on the internet. If you are having resource problems, you can disable that feature. If you have information about RACAgent, please post that here. You can disable the reliability monitor, but I don't recommend that. IMHO it is a great trouble shooting tool! I see no evidence that it is a resource hog on my PC???

Because it is not a tool. It is a lookup table.

When it comes to hidden gems in Windows, nothing beats the Reliability monitor tool, hidden behind a link inside of another tool that you don't use either. Why Microsoft doesn't shine more light on this really useful troubleshooting tool, we'll never know.

It's an extremely useful tool. And yes, it's in Windows 7 and 8… and even 8.1. It might be in Vista, but who uses that anymore?

Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.
A.C. Clarke

I address only why a qualified tech does not use a layman's "tool". It would be similar to a neurosurgeon watching The Dr. Oz Show for a consult.

Any technology distinguishable from magic is insufficiently advanced.

^Loosely translated:
If you understand the data that RelMon presents, you don't need RelMon to find it.

It looks quite snazzy, but that's about it, I checked it just now and it's just telling me things I already know.

Could be quite handy I suppose if the user says they've had an error but they have no idea what it was with, or can't remember!
