Don't you need a certain screwdriver to open them I had to buy one for my moms iphone 4

Yes they are a pain to replace. My sister had to replace her battery in her old iPhone 3GS and it was so hard, Having problems with connectors not working and then white screens and the camera wouldn't work but she fixed it somehow.

It is not at all a pain. THe first tiem you do it, maybe. But I've done it 4 times. the first time wasn't a pain, only took 9 hours.. and plenty of youtube videos. after that it's just a matter of tools..
