Hi all,

I have a question that I would like to get the anwers from the forum. As for privilege folders on the windows server 208 standard r2.
For example:
I have a SEVER installed windows server 2008 standart R2. On the SERVER I have installed only file server to share data for everyone using.
But only one user for full controls and some users for read only data.
But unfortunate, sometime I open the files on the that forder(shared for only me full control) I have only read that files(I can not update for it.). Because anyone opened it before I opening.
So now, I want, I can still update the contents of that file during they are opening.
please advise me. how to share for it.

thanks in advance.

What are the permissions set on the folders? Keep in mind that deny permissions take precedence over allow.

If you're the member of the Users group and the Administrators group and you have the write permissions set to deny on a folder for the Users group but have it set to allow for Administrators, you will still be denied write access.
