Im selling my iphone either craigslist or newspaper ad. its an iphone 3g its in excellent condition had it 2 years. I have taken photos of myself to send my gf and the vice versa we are both in our late 20s and have careers and lives and I am still currently a college student and I do not want any photos of me leaked it would ruin me. Is there any way I can wipe or format my iphone so that noone, even people with powerful recovery programs can ever get my old photos and such. I deleted them but I know they aren't truly gone forever, are there any programs that stop recovery of photos? thanks

Hey,
Have a look at this article on the apple site iOS: Understanding 'Erase All Content and Settings' . Depending on your device Erase all Contents under General > Reset will either 'Zero' all data, overwriting it completely, or remove the encryption key which I believe is the same or better standard than the US government uses, so very, very secure.
