Can anyone help me, my daughter has a new wifi enabled laptop, my home desktop is on Virgin cable modem, my system has the following "ONBOARD 10/100/1000 GIGABIT LAN PORT" and the motherboard is "ASUS® P5QD TURBO: DDR2, SATAII, PCI-e x16, 2 x PCI, 3 x PCI-e x1" I have looked at a wireless modem "Belkin G+ ADSL2+MIMO modem router" will this be simple and is there anything else I need to consider or buy please?

Ok if you buy this router you shouldn't need to buy anything else unless you want to hook up the Wi-Fi to your desktop thank you will have to uy another piece for that. The setup will be easy when you buy the router it will come with very simple setup instructions.

There's no need for a wireless modem when you already have one. You will have to configure it with all the settings that are in Virgin's modem. It will be easier to just buy a wireless router. Then your hookup will be MODEM>WIRELESS ROUTER> Ethernet to LAN port of PC & Wireless to Laptop.
