The first computer I ran was an AMD Athlon 1200 Socket A CPU on a Gigabyte GA-7ZXR motherboard with about 768GB RAM. I had 3 or 4 hard drives hooked up to it and it ran Windows XP. I overclocked it a little using the jumpers on the motherboard and I still have the CPU I think...
Wow, talk about old school. I had the 386 DX2 which would turbo to 66MHZ, I remember that my dad paid just over $4k for it and I took it apart when I was 12. He...Was...Pissed but hey, that's how I learned to put them together
My first PC, that I personally owned I believe was a 200MHZ, Voodoo Graphics card, custom built machine by my neighbor. He gave me a computer in exchange for a year of yard work.
My dad has one of those, foothead. Has, as in, present tense. lol.
My first PC was some AMD AM386 based system. I moved up to an AMD K5 after that, and then K6-2. I still have all of my K6 & K6-2 chips to this day. Never got rid of them.
