Hi Everyone,

I am currently running a Windows 2008 Terminal Server with 50 CAL's.

The problem I am about to mention has showed up in both Windows Vista, and 7 as well.

"User Profile not loaded correctly"

It seems that every so often peoples user profiles stop working and loads the user into a temporary profile that will not allow for any changes.

Looking around online I have found that using regedit to remove the *.bak profiles and deleting the users folder (after backup of course) will allow the user to create a new desktop that you can then copy the contents of their backed up user folder to. I am sick of doing this!

Has anyone found a work around for this very common issue in Windows Server 2008. Anything online I have already tried.

My next step of course is to do a complete reinstall of the server, but with my luck I will run into the same problem again.

Any ideas?

When the user's are loggin on to the system have they logged on to the system off the network with a cashed acount ? what happens when you log on with the domain admin acount ? have you created a test acount see the problem is still happening ?
