64 bit raid

Try getting drivers from your manufacturers site instead.

And yes, that's normal from what I understand of SSD's.

i have did that and nothing has changed.

only thing i can think of is trying to slip stream the drivers in my windows 7 disk.

dont want to waste disk and it not work and installing from a flash drive is a pain in the ...

RAId drivers are a b!tch to install. Are you getting them from ASUS or AMD's website. Try AMD's if you haven't.

You usually have to find the Catalyst driver for the type of motherboard you're using and then either run the EXE or extract the drivers using WinRAR or 7zip.

The file you probably want is here (I tested on two computers, so let me know if it doesn't work for you). Download the large file dated today, and then extract it. the RAID drivers should be pretty easy to find.

Try this, go to the Asus site, and the page for your mobo (I believe this is it: http://usa.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=kPGmtxee5RsQVsXG ) and then click the download tab.

Choose Windows 7 64bit

Then go down and click the + next to Utilities. Scroll down about 3/4 of the way and you should see the AMD AHCI Driver v3.2.1540.24 and it'll rattle off the elephant's share of the OSes the file supports. This driver set should have the folders you need in it for 64 bit Windows 7 installation.

If this is what you've tried already, then there's either a problem with your USB drive or USB port. I had a friend who had a similar issue not too long ago and he swapped out the flash drive and it worked. Go figure. Crossing my fingers for you though. Let us know?
