switch question

Ok i have 3 computers and a ps3, that used to be hooked up to this switch via Qwest DSL.

I moved out of state and we got Charter Cable internet.

The computers are a gateway laptop running XP pro, dell P4 xp pro, and a sony vaio running windows 7. and pf course the ps3.

These were all working fine until i tried hooking them all up just like they were before but now they don't. well sometimes the vaio will when hooked up to the switch, but nothing else. the gateway and the dell say "limited or no connectivity"

do i need to access the switch and reset it?

ok i figured this one out,

my last modem was a actiontec model # GT701 which is a dsl modem/router.

according to linksys tec support a ezxs55w needs to be connected to a router to work. my last modem had one built into it and my new motorola does not.

so off i got to buy a router

LOL....I was only halfway through the post and was thinking "needs a router". Glad I actually finished reading it before posting and looking like an a$$.

That should fix things up for you. If you have any trouble configuring it, the best thing to do is to call your ISP and they will help you with the setting required to connect (if you don't have them already).
