"system 4" using up my cpu between 40 & 100%

I am new here
Right so i was sat watching a movie on my acer aspire 5536 and the sound got all jumpy and broken so i checked the performance on the task manager andit said cpu was running at about 90%.
So i started googling and came accross a software called process manager, and that told me that a program called system 4 was using between 40 and 100% of my cpu, what is system 4? How do i solve this problame?
Notes
You might have found on othe forums removing the battery fixes this but i have already tried that,
My computer doesnt get hot

Go to the Processes tab in the Task Manager. Under the CPU column, check for processes other than System Idle Process that uses a lot of CPU.
