System hangs

I load my system and it hangs on start up loads the vista sign then just goes black screen.

I can reset my pc but then it loads and says "failed to find a suitable display device"

when i restart it goes back to the above.

any idea what is causing this.

off the top of my head, it sounds like you're either having a power supply issue or are having problems with your video card. Try swapping them out one at a time with known good units if available.

Oh yea, what are the system specs?

I think i got that error once and something to do with the hdd :s but cant remember that much of it at all
