Hi, all,

If anyone can help me with this, I'd be internally (and eternally) grateful.

I forgot my network key. I use WPA-PSK network authentication and TKIP data encription. But my network key is displayed in dots, not the actual key.

Is there any way I can find out what my network key is?

TIA,

Chuck

It won't display the ASCII for WPA (at least not the last time I used it) but wirelesskeyview will allow you to recover the hex which you can paste into other PCs to allow you to connect to the network.

Thanks.

When I unzip the program, webroot spy sweeper identifies one of the files as a virus and immediately quarantines it.

I know it states that this can happen on their website, but it still makes me nervious.

It's considered a PUP. It probably has the ability to alter files critical to Windows or a Windows service. It's nothing to worry about. Just turn off the Anti-Virus for the period of use. And if it makes you feel a bit more secure, run a scan after it does its thing.

Hey, Thanks a lot. I'll try pasting the hex key into my network configuration.

Much appreciated.

Hi, all,

Thanks everyone for your wise replys. I wish I could get the ASCII, but the HEX works although I'm dreading copying it into my iPad (when I get it, of course).

Thanks again folks.
