Computer can't find partition 3. How can I fix this?

My laptop is getting old and I needed to resotre it to factory settings but when I tried to do this it said it could not find partition 3. I'm guessing this is important for my computer to run correctly as now I can't even get the the desktop, it will not let me open in safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with commant prompt, last known good configuration or Start windows normally. On every window that comes up when I choose an option the status of the computer is, 0xc000014c. Can anyone help?

Hi,

It appears that this error is saying that your the recovery partition isn't compatable with the your version of windows. To that end it would appear that you have a couple of options.

1. Backup all the information that you want. Next run your windows disk that I hope that you got with your machine, and reinstall windows.

2. Don't backup anything and do a clean sweep. Reinstall your OS with the disk that came with your machine.
