So Gigabyte sent me something to test... here are the teaser pics.

quick question.
What is the Copper PCI Heatsink that came with it?
How do you install it? and what do you use it on?

Also wondered that.
Guess it's jsut to fit in underneath your GPU and pull heat away from it.

it's definitely ridiculous alright, but rediculous copper usually means cooler NB and mosfets and that means a higher clock without the board being the bottleneck. i've already hit 4.68 with an E8400 on an EP45-DS3R and ran a 9.968s SuperPi 1M, i know i won't beat that with this quad, but the purpose of this system is to fold.

Yeah, usually NB and mosfets aren't cooled very well on a lot of boards from the factory, at least not like this.

Looking forward to results.

it's a north bridge heatsink that screws onto the waterblock/heatpipes for non-water setups.

srsly? dude, underneath the gpu? lol

here are pictures of the build, mikesrex & i wired this shit up badass and modified the case, hope it passes the wire tuck test. lolz.

I think the dog kind of spoils the effect :D

she's the one that lets her daddy know when to grab either his M4A3 or his remington 870 pistol grip pump. it all ties in my friend. :)

Very nice man looks FANTASTIC....:D

thanks bro, i can thank my friend mike for the cable management, next up is purchasing some 1/4" nut/bolt so i can drill out the rivets and fit my terabyte drive in the machine, t's the torrent dump drive, but it's nowhere near big enough. my other machine is my QX6700 EE, P35C-DS3R, PCP&C Silencer 750w, 4x 1tb WD Caviar Black RAID 5 file server in the living room.

anyway, on the bum crackhead non-overclocking cpu i'm running 3.728ghz (466x8) at the moment peaking out at 36 deg C at the hottest core crunching World Community Grid. check it out...
